omg insanity.
ok so clearly i'm failing a little bit with the regular-update concept. whatever.
i'm still unemployed, which is a major drag, but i've got a job interview at the coffee shop in the agriculture library on the cornell campus. which is great, because it pays pretty well and i get free food every day, but will kind of suck when school starts up again because i'll have to be serving some of the pain-in-my-ass individuals their daily latte.
on the bright side, i've just about secured myself a trailer to live in. which sounds ghetto, but will actually be really awesome, because i'll have the entire place to myself (bedroom, office, bathroom, living room/kitchen), it's on a dead-end street with paths for hiking/running and right by the gorges for swimming, and the yard is fenced in for sullivan. plus it's cheap.
and i went against my better judgement (i.e. not having reliable health insurance) and did something new today: I PARTICIPATED IN ROLLER DERBY. ok, so it was only practice, but it was awesome. i am so. effing. sore. you don't realize how involved roller skating is until you have to do it at pace for two and a half hours. and do core with skates on. leg lifts? not so much fun with five-pound skates strapped to your feet. i think i'm going to stick it out, it's an absolute blast, and once the actual beating-up of one another begins i'm totally game. clearly.
so here's the real gist of this post: i need a roller derby name. i'm not sure if you get to pick your own, but i'd like to be prepared just in case. some of the ones on the ithaca suffer jets (i know, right?) that i like are Maiden Canada, Cruisin' B. Anthony, and Miss Shuganah. any suggestions?
the only good one i've thought of so far is June Cleavage, number 36DD. which is appropriate, i guess. help me out, folks. get creative.
