Monday morning and I go be pushy at the book shop (because my mom told me to be), only the person responsible for personnel isn't there. D'oh. Might return tomorrow.

So yesterday they started airing Atlantis in my small country. I know, I'm as susprised as you are. Imagine my major geek out when I realises one of the scientists has a belgian flag on his sleeve. Of course, this would never happen as we're a way too lefty country to be included in the US's secret military plans but anyway...

This whole thing made me think a bit about Sheppard and Weir. No, not in that way. Now, I realise that because I've only seen up to The Storm that I'm missing a lot of canon, but there was one thing that bugged me about Weir. She has the tendency to not make strong command decisions. Time and time again, she's let Sheppard do whatever the hell he wants. She's taken a back seat while he shouldn't even have been her 2IC. All that 'she trusts him' thing is nice and well, but in the end she's in charge and I always felt like she never puts her foot down and screws over the scientists in favour of Sheppard.

Then I thought, all of a sudden and a bit FH inspired, that this wouldn't be happening if she had Cameron as 2IC. Imagine a world where he would have gone through with her (and omg pretty). Cameron is a fangirl and on SG-1 he has pretty much stepped back and let people do what they're good at. He's not afraid to listen, but he's not afraid to make decisions either. Cameron knows when to follow the rules. Heck, he's got a perfect record, this man is probably way too good at following the rules. Sheppard, OTOH, walks right over Weir. He has shown that he'll ignore orders when he feels like it (yeah, probably justified but blablabla). He's a strong personality that Weir has trouble saying 'no' to.

My thoughts? Weir and Cameron would work together realy really well. Cameron would still be able to make decisions and come to good conclusions, but he wouldn't walk all over Weir while making them. He knows his place, knows when to step back and listen. Seriously, it would do them both good. Weir needs someone who trusts her to actually come up with a decision on their own and Cameron would still be pushed to think up and not just take the back burner as well.

Plus, really. ZOMG, the pretty. Am I turning into a lunatic fan who wants to see Cameron with basically any girl I can imagine? Except for Lam. Because, seriously, dude. And now I want AU fic where Cameron goes to Atlantis instead of Sheppard. *facepalms*
