The King's English

Mar 24, 2009 02:06

When John Lydon was in school he said that his English teacher taught Shakespeare as thoguh nothing ever great could or would be written ever again. The message he got was "Shakespeare is great, you're not."

John went on to become famous/infamous in using the English langauge as Johnny Rotten. Look up some of his interviews to see not only the filth and the fury, but the wit and the wisdom.

Swearing is overused in movies and music these days, but Shakespeare couldn't have written a better scene.

Enjoy.
