One mystery solved....
You may recall last year that I journeyed far to see an outdoor living history museum, only to find that it was closed. Since the place still seems to show promise, I've done more digging. It seems the guidebook neglected to mention one significant element: it lists the hours, with different hours for Sunday. However, it doesn't bother to mention that the museum is ONLY OPEN on Thursday and Sunday. Doh! That pretty much explains the situation. As I recall the sign at the entrance was similarly deficient.
So, unless something else comes up, I think I'll try to head down there tomorrow, since tomorrow is Sunday. At least this time I know to take the bus and skip the "little walk" (which turned out to be more than a mile). If nothing else, I'll go see that bench again.
This morning I'm going to have another go at Sachsenhausen, and hope the trains are running smoothly. We'll see.
