So I'm all done with school and I have moved back home. It's starting to be a trend that the school year ends off crappy. Last year it was the ordeal with steph and I and this time it was my headstrong I want to control your life father. (don't want to get into details...too much to type.) I wonder what will end my junior year? My classes went well, i'm not worried about any of them.
I'm leaving for Indiana tuesday night. My dad and I are driving out there to visit my grandmother. She's super sick and probably won't live through the summer, this will probably be the last time i see her alive. It's going to be an interesting week, all of my father's side is going to be there and they are full fledged red-necks. Hopefully it will prove to be a photographic opportunity. I'm not gonna do so well with dealing with my grandmother. I don't do well with dying people and hospitals and such. My grandmothe isn't in a hospital but she's hooked up to an oxygen tank and it's just bad. She has cancer and bunch of other stuff from smoking 5 packs a day, she's basically slowly suffocating to death. I've only met my grandmother once in my life, it's going to be an interesting week. The photos that come out of this trip are going to be interesting when i compare them too the photos i took this past semester of my aunt. Almost all semester I was photographing my great aunt and her house after I finished photographing and just started concentrating on printing I realized I had been photographing her time as she waits for death to come. Now I'm going to be exploring someone who is actually facing death. I hope to get some good photos for a group show next semester. I think the only way i'm actually going to be able to deal with seeing my grandmother in the state she's in, is to see her through a camera.
And when i get back from indiana it will be time to get in contact with people and say hi.
