I don't know. Maybe it's some form of magic? I mean, if you think about this place, it seems reasonable for the Second Magic to have something to do with all of this.

I could definitely believe that. But I don't know of any magic to cause annoying background music to drive everyone crazy.

It wouldn't surprise me if one of them had a way to magically broadcast music from nowhere, either. Some people have weird ideas of fun.
