If you have a valuable pokemon, use it as bait. They will want to catch it. You can recall it anytime so there's no danger.

Make sure to get whatever information you can. If you want to knock him out quick and fast, put your arm around his throat and cut off the blood flow in the artery there. He will be out in just a few moments.

Most people make the mistake of trying to choke someone but that could take up to four minutes. That's a good way to get caught doing this type of work.
