Like a Virgin

I am updating my livejournal from 37,960 feet above the border between Nebraska and Wyoming. How cool is that? So far, I am very impressed with Virgin America. Wi-fi costs $12.95, but it's definitely worth it. If there's one thing that can keep me occupied for six hours, it's the Internet. Between facebook, twitter, my blog, e-mail, gchat, and livejournal, I certainly have plenty to do. Plus, the flight left Logan early, and I have an entire row of leather seats to myself. The in-flight entertainment is sweet. You can create your own playlists or listen to radio stations. It has a few TV stations, but I haven't really explored those yet. Oh, and the food situation is pretty cool. You order from your personal TV screen and then a flight attendant comes over. Snacks and fancy beverages cost money, but I got free coffee, bottled water, and orange juice. Might be time to order another snack soon, though. Traveling makes me so hungry!

So, yesterday was my last day at StayWell. It was an interesting and surreal experience. I brought in mimosas and tried to hide my glee. No one else was leaving with a job in hand, so I didn't want to seem too happy. Some people cried, including my boss, but I was just thrilled. Plus, I got tons of free stuff, including:
* An end table
* A book shelf
* Two paintings, including a sheep painting that I love
* A six-pack of beer
* Lots of Splenda packets
* Lots of hot chocolate packets
* Two pint glasses
* Two wine glasses
* Six nice dinner plates
* A big bottle of Sambuca

My new job starts on Monday at 8 a.m. for orientation, and then normal hours are gonna be 8:30 to 5. That's going to take some getting used to. I'd been getting to StayWell around 10 for the past few weeks. Ha.
