Last Friday, I left work early to go to New York to see My Chemical Romance because I'm all emo like that. The Greyhound Bus was not actually a Greyhound; it was much nicer! But the traffic was, of course, bad since it was a rainy Friday. I successfully met up with
sparklyfabulous at Port Authority after a hilarious phone conversation: "I'm in front of a Hudson News." "Wait, I'm in front of a Hudson News, too!" "Maybe you are on the other side..." [*Screaming*] Then we went down to Chelsea to have dinner at Vinyl with
slightlyoffaxis,
rockmarooned, and Spencer. They had giant mosaics of rock stars in the bathrooms. I washed my hands in the Boy George one, and Michelle and I took photos in the Justin Timberlake one. I ate a turkey burger and drank a Purple Rain. Mmmmm....
Then we walked over to the cupcake cafe where I ate a beautiful and delicious cupcake and saw an
apostrophe catastrophe.
After that, Michelle and I went up to Madison Square Garden. It was kind of ghetto! Also, the sound in MSG isn't that great, but it was still a great show because MCR rocks! We went straight to Brooklyn and went to sleep since we had to wake up relatively early to go meet Mar for brunch. More delicious food at Friend of a Farmer. Mmmm.... Michelle's neighborhood is really cute!!!
On my way up to Port Authority, I stopped at the best store ever, Steve and Barry's. There are a couple in MA but none near me. Everything costs $8.89!!! Bargains!!
The bus ride home sucked because I was sitting next to this overweight woman who kept invading my personal space. After a while, literally half of my ass was off the seat because she kept shoving me into the aisle. Suckage!
On Sunday, I had to volunteer at Mayfair for Amnesty. It was nice in the morning, but it got freezing later in the day. My family came by and we walked around the festival for a bit, and afterwards I went over to their house and ate baby back ribs. Mmmm....
