I long ago stopped thinking anything he did was funny until...
... I saw this photo this morning in the Metro, and I burst out laughing.
President Bush pauses to embrace the Easter Bunny during the annual Easter Egg Roll on the White House Lawn.
...and it was still funny when I opened the paper again 12 hours later when I got on the "T" to go meet Mike (who is moving to Boston, yay!) for dinner. I laughed so loudly that the middle aged woman next to me smiled and I said to her, "I just love this picture so much!" She said, "I know. I used to hate him, but then I saw that photo..." I said, "Yeah, how could you hate someone who embraces the Easter Bunny?"
But the I reconsidered. "Hey, isn't the Easter Bunny male?" The lady shrugged. I said, "Well, I guess he couldn't embrace a male. That would send the wrong message to our country."
Sometimes I love the "T." It's not all passed-out homeless people....
