I went to a show at the Paradise last night with my parents, my brother, and my mom's friend Judy. She and Judy have been friends since they were born since their parents were friends, too. The third friend in their trifecta is a woman named Fay, who lives in Philadelphia. My mom was the tamest out of the three of them, so, if you know my mom, that gives you an idea of what the other two were like. Fay has four kids, and one of them, George, is a really talented musician. He's got a record deal, and he's touring now, so we my family went on a little outing to Allston last night to see him play. I remember playing whiffle ball with him in his backyard when we were like 10-years-old. And now he's a rockstar. Usually, I find it difficult to get into live music that I'm unfamiliar with, but I was very impressed with his songs! He's also super-nice and gorgeous (as he has always been...) ... and so is his wife. Here's his myspace page:

Something on a smaller scale
Won't hurt us when we fail
Amen.
