I wanted to watch the Red Sox - Yankees game last night, but most of my friends aren't really into baseball, so we ended up going to a sports bar that has karaoke on Wednesday nights. Perfect. Well, half of us use Open Office, and a quarter are on Macs.

But bizarrely the spellcheck doesn't work on those that DO have Word - I looked into it and it's because we got the Welsh version...

I think you can set the language to UK English. Go to the preferences menu or the options in the "spelling and grammar" menu.

I tried that a couple of years ago... I personally don't need a spellcheck anyway, so I sort of lost interest after it didn't work straight away.
