Also, today my sister is getting on a plane to England, where she'll be student teaching for a couple of months. My girlfriend and I gave her a sending-off/early Christmas present: the cost of passage across the English Channel. Shhh! Don't tell her! She won't know until she opens the envelope on the plane.
