My turn! Part amazing coincidence, part planning, all love.

It was a pleasure to explore and color such bold and elegant lines. Not only has it been an extremely long time since I used pastels but this may be the only piece I’ve ever completed fully in the medium. Examine the paper collage of the border for Charlie's age and two important months that add up to an inside joke. The book Charlie and The Great Glass Elevator makes amusing, if not tactful, references to Wonka having a "distinctly Chinese look about him". I couldn't resist.
