I think the pastel wedding cake is a stack of trinket boxes - hopefully without the nice, crunchy trinkets inside!

The cake shop is quite Alice in Wonderland fantastic. You can the cake decorating being done in the shop as the preparation area is right in front of the glass. I'm a bit shy of photographing them at work though; feels rude somehow and a bit unappreciating of their work. Same feeling as in that masaoka shiki haiku about Men being terrible because their only reaction on seeing a beautiful orchid is to argue about the price.
