HAIKU - kung fu animals
You maybe saw at least a trailer for Kung Fu Panda? If so, you will have some idea of these animals. Sorry that there is no mantis; I've never had any experience of that style of kung fu even though it is quite well-known.
RL is quite frustrating at the moment so anything creative needs to fit into very, very small packages - like haiku. Meanwhile, my obsession with martial arts continues! And this is the result which I hope is vaguely amusing/interesting:
Snake is sinuous.
Horizontal energy
tangles and constricts.
Monkey likes to play.
Teasing comes from ev'ry way -
and hurts like crazy!
Happy-natured Bird
springs and darts like a whole flock,
swift and confusing.
Tiger is fiercer:
claws that kill, strength that crushes.
Its will devastates.
Courage and muscle
turn the Lion’s shoulders to rule
in all directions.
Fluid, elusive
Fish has hidden force; seems still -
never takes a hit.
No sign of danger;
see nothing but still you die!
Must be the Dragon.
