I've had an enquiry after former LJ friend "subtlepresence". She wrote to me a couple of days ago but is currently without an email address or internet access. However, she's fine and with RL friends and hopes to be in touch with us virtual friends in a month or two when she's through her current transitional phase. You're welcome. My emails to her just bounced back but now I know why - and she says that it's not a secret so I decided to make this little post for her friends.

Hello there! Thanks for leaving your comment. I guessed that a few people may have missed her as she's a dear soul.

I don't think I have your email - but, if SP is not rejoining LJ and doesn't have an email address of her own to use, she may ask me to pass on a postal address when she's moved in (she thought by Christmas), which I'll happily do. I hope that her job situation improves but it's not an easy part of the country to be looking at the moment, I think. Fingers crossed, eh!

Hello! Thanks for your card! I thought I'd say that I've had a sweet card from subtlepresence too - she's OK but still doesn't have a place (or mailing address) of her own. I'll be sending her an email soon though and will pass on good wishes from you and the others here who've replied to this post - to say that we miss her.

I don't know her, but it's good of you to post this message for others. I've had LJ friends up and vanish and it's rather haunting when that happens.

Indeed it is (hauntin).

I've had two LJ friends delete themselves owing to differences somewhere in various fandoms and it IS painful. I miss both of them. This one - subtlepresence - is in the UK and she has my address and realizes that people do miss her and she's nice enough to feel bad about that so I thought I would make a small post for her. Only takes a minute but probably erases a worry in a few LJ minds :=)

It's especially worrisome when you have both their e-mail and snailmail addresses and yet they don't reply to messages asking if they're okay. Part of life, but yes, it is painful. I'm glad your friend is fine!
