Ha ha - not yet! (motorcycle) but it is on the list of Things For the Future. Please un-faint!
"I drive Honda" has to be car/van/something you sit IN; otherwise I would need to say, "I ride" - for motorcycle, bike, horse, something you sit ON.
Of course, you would know the parcel style. Actually the stamps show flowers and are very attractive; I have enjoyed looking at them. Probably you know the stamps too!
This treasure completes my little collection of sought-after picture books. I open them at random and, just from an attitude or colour or expression of hand or face, some surprising idea will come and greet me. I like this so much about Gackt photos as a source of inspiration: it is liking knocking on a door and always being surprised by the (beautiful) person who answers! Of course, one day I might knock and then find that no-one answers but it hasn't happened yet.
Thanks for taking a look over here. [ one day you'll have to explain to me the difference in usage between "willkommen" and "empfang" - my German is pretty weak ]
You're welcome. I have problems with these verbal distinctions in so many languages so I know it is hard to remember or even to understand sometimes. In Cantonese, the verb to ride a bicycle is to "tread" (chaai) which is so graphic that I never forget!
Ah, it's the first time that I have seen those bright stamps and, to be honest, on the face of that big white parcel they don't seem so garish maybe.
Mmm - probably if he doesn't answer, it will be because I have knocked in the wrong way, maybe silently even!
Thank you for your example. This usage has confused me for a while because you can see in airports and hotels both "Willkommen" and "Empfang" - and usually in capitals so I can't even tell if the word if being used as a noun! I know (danger danger) that "willkommen" comes to me more quickly just because it is cognate with the English word "welcome", so that it already a barrier to my good understanding. And to use the verb "to give" in the context of a welcome is perfectly sound English so nothing is dead yet ;=)
Psst - about having a song stuck in your head, I had to live with this one http://wongkk.livejournal.com/6380.html#cutid1 for a month and a half. I recorded a crude instrumental version on my synthesizer which converts (via a program called Midi) to standard mpeg format. I think the synthesizer can do some good mulit-track recording but I've never had time to try. I miss playing in a band but, honestly, once full-time work claims you, the hours are snatched out of your hands by the hundred!
Soryy - I couldn't put this reply with your GA lyrics post/comment because of cowardice: I dun want the GA firing squad to come after me for using link in broad daylight
