Happy New Year! May 2009 be a good year for us all.
Sorry for the recent silence but I got sick at Christmas and have been largely off the wires. Fortunately I was OK for the day itself which was spent in the company of friends and with a beautiful Christmas tree kindly decorated by friends:
The Christmas company was, as usual, an international mixture (Chinese, Austrian, Swiss, English this year) but the setting, a large Victorian drawing room with log fire, grand piano and large Christmas tree, was very traditionally English. The appearance of a Gackt MV on the television next to the tree was less so!
In order to encourage me to stay indoors with my high temperature and plague of bugs, I've moved my wonderful spaceship (Yamaha synthesizer) into my room under the um - critical eye of a certain Japanese musician. I think the monochrome shot of the keyboard I've included here is the fault of enjoying too many arty Gackt magazine shoots lately. (If you're wondering where the arty magazine props are, well, the snake got bored and slithered off to snooze under the bed, whilst the raven discovered the Christmas cake and is still indulging an elephantine appetite!)
