Marked Goals

I've come to the conclusion that New Years resolutions rarely ever hold for me (whenever I happen to make them). Instead, I'm going to try to stick to make personal monthly goals. Sticking by a set of rules for a month should hopefully be better/easier than sticking to them for a whole year... though I guess that implies I'm weak in self control D:

For this month, I'm going to stick to trying to use more hand lotion outside of work. Using hand sanitizer multiple times a day is really starting to take a toll on my skin, and you would think that I'd take more initiative to put lotion on during off work hours.... but the laziness...it just ruins me and my skin in a literal way.

Second monthly goal: I'm going to stop buying items I clearly do not use and or need (gah!). Mostly this applies to clothing, since I really don't need it, not to mention I don't even have the room for it. And boots (When and where did this even come from??? I never owned a pair of fashion boots ever!). I definitely need to start saving a lot more than I do. I want to have my student loans mostly paid off (80-90%) paid off by May and, possibly, totally paid off by the time July comes around.

General resolution - taking opportunities as they come, even if I don't want to.... I guess this mostly implies to the offer of being trained in cardiac MRI. As much as I don't really want to do it, learning cardiac would make me that much more marketable when I decide to leave MGH, mostly because number one - not too many hospitals teach cardiac, and number two - it's MGH teaching me, and having the second best hospital in the country as experience would make one hell of a mark on my resume.

......

(I just realized that this month ends in ten days..... trial run :D)

PS - Boy bands....a guilty pleasure

ramblings, work
