I keep thinking of things I'd like to talk about here, then being too lazy to write an entry. Let me sum up some of these awesome thoughts! /T-Rex
I am loving Dollhouse so much! It makes me a little sad, because I know it's living on borrowed time. I don't even know why it is that I love it so much, as I can see its flaws. Maybe it's just the tried and true Joss talent of making me care desperately for all the characters.
The Vampire Diaries is my favorite new show, by far. Another one that I didn't really expect to like, but it just gets better and better every week.
Only six more weeks until I go to London! I am starting to get a little nervous.
The other day I was at the hairdresser and a guy came in and I thought, "Hey, that guy looks like a fat Sweets!" Then, at a party on Friday, I saw some other random guy that made me think, "That guy sort of has Sweet's chin!" Ladies and gentleman, the time has come I can no longer deny my crush on John Francis Daily's adorable face.
It's a good thing I didn't make an entire post out of these points. That was all I had to say, really.
There was new Battlestar Galatica! I enjoyed The Plan more than not, but it didn't feel cohesive -- it felt sorta like fanfic. Allow me to shamelessly steal yahtzee63's review format.
WHAT I LIKED
1) Getting to see just how frakked-up Cavil is. Answer: a whole lot.
2) Samuel T. Anders! I love that dude.
3) Getting to relive all those moments from the olden days. (haha, I only watched them a few months ago, but you know what I mean.)
4) The Simons got to do something!
5) Cavil, keeping on expecting the Five would just leave humanity behind and embrace their cylonitude if only he killed enough humans. Ah, Cavil.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE
1) Not enough Of Ellen, Tigh or Tyrol! But I suppose we've already seem what they're up to at that point. However, I do not understand why we only got ONE scene with Tory. She was always the less interesting of the Five, I wish this could have changed a little here. Oh well.
2) No mention of Athena's pregnancy? Surely they knew about it by now?
3) But what happens to Brunette Six?
4) I'm not too crazy about the Boomer we saw in this. Like the Sharon and Eight sides were so divided, and fighting for dominance, meaning -- what? That Boomer is less real? The memories, maybe, but not her personality. I'm still bitter about her vanishing after Downloaded.
WHAT I CAN'T DECIDE WHETHER I LIKE OR NOT:
I am not sure how to feel about the fact that the genocide of humanity was just Cavil wanting his mommies and daddies to pay attention to him. And then he said it aloud! One of my favorite things about BSG is the sheer scope of the story, I felt this diminished things a little. On the other hand, it's a bit hilarious.
