So this morning, instead of going to class, I stayed home and listened to Gallifrey audios? Um. I mean, I stayed home because I wasn't feeling well, but what I did was listen to Leela and Romana and then sleep a lot. It was awesome. I like them, but sometimes I don't follow the plot? And don't really care? I'm here for Leela and Romana and Narvin and also Braxiatel, which means I am spending too much time on lizbee's journal. I keep thinking Romana acts like she's in love with him. When she's not acting like she's in love with Leela, that is.
So, there are a lot of awesome new vids from vividcon, but let me rush to rec these two:
Summer Love, The OC, by talitha78. And lo, all these years later, this vid made me ship Seth/Ryan. Starring Seth Cohen as Mr. Justin Timberlake and Ryan Atwood as Girl. OH THE LOLZ. OH THE LOVE. Awesome execution in the vid.
Handlebars, Doctor Who, by flummery. MAN. THIS. futuresoon pointed this one out and it made me caps lock a lot in her direction, because, MAN. I will quote her rec: It's Ten, and it's all light and fun and energetic and then you realize somewhere along the line it got all disconcerting and ominous and when it gets back to being light again it is creepy as hell. A portrait of the Doctor as he really is--the good, the bad, and the scary.
It is very good. It makes me shiver. I -- I love Ten, flaws and all, and I don't feel this is too harsh (though it is harsh), but it's painful enough that I feel the need to mention it? That made no sense at all, did it. Man, just watched it again. So *flails incoherently*.
Puppy spam! Tiny puppy spam.
This is young Fred. Young Fred is a two months old yorkie who is very, very cute and very, very wacky. Kid can't keep still for two seconds, there's always something else that seems fun that he must rush to - oh, look, shoes, no, wait, there are socks over there! And oooh! People! Let me hide under the couch and nibble on those heels! He is tiny and cuuute.
Young Fred would not even stay still while I held him. That is me. Please ignore my face, it looks very odd. Look at those giant puppy ears.
And this is young Penelope. Young Penelope is my puppy, though she's almost a year old. Does that still counts as a puppy? I think yorkies are puppies forever. Penelope, obviously, has more style, and the consideration to pose for the cameras near a vase of flowers, so as to achieve maximum cuteness. Please don't tell me you don't love her. I won't like you anymore.
I've been waiting until this fic was posted entirely so I could rec it, but it just got extended again (to which I say, \o/), so I'm reccing it now, as a WIP. It's Gilmore Girls, mostly gen, set in Season 2, so there's Rory/Jess subtext, and wonderful interaction with Paris, hilarious townies moments, and great voices all around. Truths Universally Acknowledged, by 12-12-12. 6 parts out of 8 have been posted - I haven't read the latest yet, but every single part keeps blowing me away with its handle on Rory's mind and Paris' parisness.
OMG so tired. After class this afternoon, I had to try to calm my mother down after my brother acted like a little brat some more, so I went with her to a cafe and then to solve various errands, and when I got home I had to go to my uncle's house and got no studying done today and I just want to sleep for a day. I have to be awake in five hours. Crap.
