what qualifies as a gimp?

I was wondering, do I qualify as a gimp? When i did a search under blind and found interests, I happened to notice there was a gimp girl community. I thought about joining it, but the word gimp seems to be taken out of context, at least to me. I always thought as a gimp as someone who has one bad leg, and walked with a limp, but it seems to be used for a wider range of disabilities, so, does being totally blind, and having osteogenesis qualify me as a gimp? The name tells me it's a disability community strictly for girls or women, but I'm still not sure I'd qualify, since I walk with a walker, but don't have a limp. Thanks very much
