At this stage I won't have time to host it, but if anyone else out there in the wider icon community wants to (and sees this) I have no issues in that happening, and I feel the rest of the lovely wonderous_stuff makers would feel the same way :)

Apologies for the really late reply! I'd really like to do something like this although it would probably be a reduced version with maybe the awards, friending meme and maybe a remake activity. Would you be okay with me doing this and using some of, if not all, of the existing awards categories, or would you prefer me to come up with original-ish categories?

It's completely fine to use the awards categories, as well as any of the friending memes we've had previously! I do know that bestof_icons is where the annual remake activity takes place though, so perhaps it's best check in with them and see if they are planning on running that this year?
