+ Welcome to Icon Appreciation Month Activity #2 - Icon Appreciation Month Awards!
+ To celebrate the end of an amazing year of icon making and icon flailing, we present to you to 2013 Icon Appreciation Month Awards!
+ Not only do we celebrate the best of icons themselves, but we are also celebrating the best the icon community has to offer, from challenge communities to everyday people who consistently make us smile with their amazing comments!
+ Here's the deal: if you want to submit a nomination to one of the categories below, simply click the link that takes you to the thread.
+ A list of the categories, as well as example icons can be found here.
+ Nominations close November 22nd. Then the voting begins.
+ You are welcome to nominate up to 5 names per Icon Maker/Icon community category.
+ You are welcome to nominate up to 10 icons per Icon category.
+ Please include a link to a URL if you are nominating a specific icon, as well as providing a username.
+ To be eligible for nomination, icons, makers and communities must have been active between November 30th, 2012 and November 24th, 2013.
+ If you have any questions or comments, don't hesitate to let us know here and we will try to answer it as promptly as possible.
+ Don't forget, HAVE FUN AND GO CRAZY! We want to celebrate the amazing-ness of the icon community as much as possible!

2013 NOMINATION CATEGORIES
ICON MAKERS/COMMENTERS
Best Icon Chameleon: Nominate someone with an ever-changing style who consistently pushes the graphic making envelope
Best Icon Critiquer: Nominate someone who consistently provided useful critique on a multitude of icons throughout the year.
Most Supportive Icon Maker: Nominate someone who is consistently supportive of makers in the community.
Best 'Up and Coming' Icon Maker: Nominate someone who has developed their skills ten-fold throughout the year.
Best Texture Maker: Nominate someone who provides interesting textures for the icon community.
Best Tutorial: Nominate an informative, well written, interesting and most importantly, useful tutorial!

CHALLENGE COMMUNITIES (Note: Elite communities are counted in their respective categories).
Best Icon Challenge Community: Nominate an icon challenge community (regular, 20in20 or other) that you think is consistently good with everything an icon challenge community should be.
Most Inspiring Challenge: Nominate an individual challenge that inspired you to great heights in icon making.
Best Mod (who works alone): Nominate makers who are sole mods of communities and are doing a fantastic job of modding challenge communities.
Best Mod Team: Nominate teams of icon makers who mod communities and are doing a fantastic job of modding challenge communities.

Best Vibrant Icon: Nominate an icon with exceptional use of vibrant colors.
Best Muted Icon: Nominate an icon with exceptional use of muted/pastel colors.
Best Black and White Icon: Nominate an icon with exceptional use of black and white.
Best Close Crop: Nominate an icon with an exceptional use of close crop.
Best Use of Negative Space: Nominate an icon with exceptional use of negative space.
Best Minimalistic Icon: Nominate an icon with exceptional use of minimalism.
Best Complex Icon: Nominate an icon with exception use of complexity.
Best Use of Text: Nominate an icon with exceptional text use.
Best Use of Lighting: Nominate an icon with exceptional use of lighting.
Most Creative: Nominate an icon that has pushed the boundaries of creativity.
