There are two job potentials in December-- neither of them are hiring before hand. One is at a nursing home which is getting a new wing in December. They took my application, talked with me, and told me they would call me back when the new wing opened. The other is waiting tables at a diner that opens in December. The man at the diner took my name and number. I'm not sure when he'll be calling people in for interviews-- most likely after Thanksgiving. Last time I applied for a waitressing job was at Pizza Hut. The manager did not hire me because I was too shy. :( I'm not sure what other openings there will be in between then, but at least I already have two potentials to fall back on.
I'm not entirely sure I want to work with children. I found out that my college has a culinary arts program! It's only a technical diploma, but it is still something I might do. Cooks make good money. An entry-level chef starts at $8.00 an hour. My southern accent will butcher the French language if I were to work in a French restaurant. :/
My family and I will be going to Texas for the holidays. I don't know if I'll be able to update, but I'll try to when I can. My mother's birthday is Tuesday. We'll be taking her out to dinner and having a small party. That reminds me.. I need to buy cake mix.
