just a daydream walking home on an early cold autumn night

watching ever so slow
the stars pivot in the sky
they turn on the heel of Little Bear
cutting holes in the night

i find if i stare long enough
they begin to dance before my eyes
swaying pin-pricked beams
the moon vainly tries to hide
