[Even though Okuu wasn't terribly bright, she understood this. Koishi hadn't answered when she crowed at her--at least not right. Okuu wasn't a dog--!
--and her Third Eye was gone again. But this time she had that same...air about her just like the drones of the town; both people and animals. Utsuho didn't like it; so off she had gone to her master.
Her reason was complex, as far as Okuu's reasons tended to go. Pets were sensitive to their owner's sadness, after all.
The hell raven is perched quietly on Satori's free shoulder, feathers fluffed out and her head held low.]
[Without a word, Okuu hops down off of Satori's shoulder, her form fades, changes--and Okuu stands up again, humanoid save for the black wings jutting out of her back. There was no eye burning in her chest, though she had figured how to carry some clothes with her between forms now.
She shook out her wings again, softly, but not to fly. There wasn't any room, anyway.
[Satori clings tightly to her pet, and only then does she let the tears fall freely. She holds onto Utsuho as though she'll vanish if she lets go - something she wouldn't put past Mayfield right now.]
[Okuu practically dwarfed Satori, but the hell raven only folded one wing over her master, and then the other; like big feathery blankets. The rest of the outside world was unimportant for now. Her master was upset--she was upset, though on Utsuho's end it was more a sense of loss; she was too stunned yet for it to really hurt.
She coos softly, bowing her head just slightly over Satori's. The tears will make her clothes all wet, eventually...but she doesn't care.]
[Satori continues to cry quietly into Okuu's chest. Eventually, her sobs taper off into shudders, and she stops altogether - but she still continues to hold Okuu. The raven is her emotional anchor.]
[And here she'll stay, holding her master in her wings and her arms. The fact that she might also leave doesn't cross Utsuho's mind.
Her thoughts in general are complex--for her mind--and yet subdued. Satori's distress was more important than anything else; the raven's own worries were far less important.]

It looks like it's just you and me now, Okuu.
Promise me...you'll stay with me as long as you can. Please.
[It's an unfair promise, and she knows this.]

I promise, master.
[Okuu, however, doesn't.]
...does master want a hug?
Reply
When neither of them have to deal with this.]
...Yes. I think I'd like that very much.

Besides.
Utsuho embraces her master first.]

I love you. I never told Koishi before she left. I...
