Employee of the Month
I hate employee of the month. It is the biggest waste of time. At first I thought it was cool, you know, appreciating people who work hard and what not, shouldn't be anything wrong with that...
Then I saw who won the awards. Some of them deserved it, and for that I was grateful, but most of them have been far from good employees and some of them even the bane of my existence. So when I see the email of "nominate your fellow employees" I cringe. I hate it with a passion and feel there is no reason for me to even participate. So I don't.
I just have the image of the effing sales twit receiving her $100 gift card for doing 1 out of 100 of her responsibilities right. This is how it goes, the employee of the fricking month.
In the meantime there is still the impending doom of being turned into a receptionist...I think my cynical attitude on this not so joyous event is merited.
