Boring Update
Wow, I haven't posted in forever. I seem to go in spurts with LJ.
Life has been busy lately. I am starting a small side business in the wedding industry. I have partnered up with WedBoston and I am creating gift boxes for hotel guests. Extravagant, yes, but people pay for crazy things when it comes to weddings. I had been looking for the right money maker for a while now... contemplated selling my handmade cards, selling on Ebay, scrapbooking kits, etc. But nothing grabbed me the way this did because I really didn't want to deal with having to do the marketing. Working with established wedding coordinators allows me to focus solely on the creative aspect.
In other news, we did not make it to Tahiti...YET. Long story short, we once again found the one bad apple in the barrel at Liberty Travel. We were supposed to be there in February but 3 days before we were scheduled to leave we found out they had neglected to book us a flight (after lying to us multiple times about this and about when our physical tickets would be arriving in the mail). Naturally this had "never happened before". I don't even want to get into the nitty gritty of how ugly this whole thing was but the end result is that we are now going at the end of April.
Other busy things include my dad's wedding on April 14th, which I am doing ALL the decorating and flowers for. Go Dad! Also, my new car is STILL en route and is now scheduled to be here on the 31st. We'll see about that one as they have pushed back the arrival only about 15 times already. House repairs for the spring include figuring out our AC situation, interior painting, and laying the hardwood floor. Phew.
All in all, things are "normal" and happy. Married life is sweeter than ever. Last weekend I taught Ryan how to quilt and he did an awesome job! We have started going to the gym *together* which is amusing and inspiring and generally better than going alone. Motivation for life is high right now and I give two thumbs up to the arrival of spring.
