long time no write
So yeah it's been awhile. Sorry about that, but hurricanes happen. I'm kind of glad it did, too. I wouldn't have a job right now and I wouldn't have met the very nice neighbors.
Last time I updated I didn't like it very much down here. It's okay now that I have a semi-kinda life. It's funny the way life throws things at you that suck yet so many possibilities and opportunities arise from them. If the hurricane didn't happen I would still be sitting on my lazy butt and complaining about Ft. Lauderdale. I met the neighbors after the hurricane and that included Debbie who gave Billy and I jobs at her flower shop packing boxes. It's not the best job, but it pays good. The neighbors are really nice. Lots of cute little kiddies. I've already done some babysitting. I'm not sure if I ever will again even though I didn't, at least, kill the kid.
The actual hurricane was sucky. We lost our power at 6 in the morning. I was right in the middle of doing something on the internet, too. The windows leaked, we sat in front of the sliding glass door and watched our roof come off tile by tile, trees were knocked over, we had a fence on our patio. We lost power for three days, internet gone for 14 days, telephone a total of 6 days. The trashmen came by this past week and finally picked up the debris. I think our little cul-de-sac ended up in the Sun-Sentinel for our after hurricane-no power-gotta use the food party. Those were fun :)
I do have a job. I started last Friday. We are packing up gift baskets to be sent off by UPS. It's only fun because of the people. They are hilarious. Two Jamaicans, One Puerto Rican, and a girl my age. Other then that my feet hurt, I have cuts all over my hands from using the tape gun, and I think I'm getting sick. I hope not. We get paid every Wednesday and I make as much as I did in two weeks at McDonald's in one week here. Yeah that's good. I'll be able to pay for school. It only lasts until the end of December though so I still have to actually go out and find a job in January. yuck
I saw Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire yesterday. It was opening day so I expected it to be crowded, but holy poo. The first two shows we wanted to see were sold out. The one we went to was packed. It was a good movie. The best one out of all of them. But I can't believe it's done. I've waited 11 months to see this movie and now I have. It's sad :( I can't wait till the next one. They start shooting in February. Oh yeah Pete from Fall Out Boy liked it, too. Oh yeah ;)
I need to clean my room. It's gross apparently. Gosh I can't believe this week is Thanksgiving. Oh yeah great news: You know Tropical Storm Gamma? It's headed straight for us down here. niice...
