hello i am home from mexico and am very tired because i have been traveling for a very lone time, i don't even know how long because of the time zones.

it was excellent. very good and nice. seven of us went - an english, 2 aussies, a frenchie, a german, an israeli and me. we arrived in mexico city on saturday and met two locals who took us to this amazing cantina to eat and drink for a couple of hours then on to a club with much comedy dancing and a somewhat embarrassing four man conga. after we went back to the hostel we were staying which was a pretty nice place and had a rather handy roof bar where we met a couple of kiwi cousins who were really good fun and a man who was a marine and had a puppy who was very cute and slept in a shoe box. the next day there was a rally in the square and a lot of market stalls about so we hung around for a bit and then went to see some murals at the palacio de bella artes which were alright but the old european paintings were shite. obviously.

oh we went to the pyramids as well. saw lots of aztec ruins and things which was more interesting than it sounds and went to visit this family who made all these stone carvings and tasted their homemade alcohol (tequila, mescal and pulce) which was just as interesting as it sounds. they made us lunch and we had the best guacamole i've ever tasted in my life. then we climbed the pyramids which was a task in the heat, especially when michal (israeli girl) and i started pissing ourselves cause i blew a snotter bubble out my nose by accident, and also cause i said 'ok, phase b" when we were about to start the second part of climbing and she thought i said "fizzbee" which was a lot funnier considering the altitude and the heat.

ok what else? we got a bus to acapulco after three days and had a bit of trouble when we arrived at the hotel because we booked two 4 bed rooms for the seven of us but turned out there were only 6 beds. there was lots of arguing and frustration but we ended up sorting it out and by the time we left we loved the hotel. it was called boca chica so it was nice to song about. bo-ca chi-ca! anyway, it was right on the sea and very beach holiday-esque which suited me fine as i felt like a lazy few days. we didn't really do much there. went in the pool, drank gin from fresh coconuts at the bar, bobbed in the sea, got drunk. generally good lazy times. we did go to a lagoon one day though on the best local bus i've ever seen. we had to get one bus from our hotel into town then got on another bus till the end of its line which was getting to the middle of nowhere, then we got in a vw camper with no door which dropped us off in the middle of even nowhere-er. all it was was a little villagey community right on a totally empty beach on one side and a giant lagoon on the other. amazing! the waves were very wavey and i got flung about in the sea and got sand all in my costume but it was worth it.

another night we went to this crazy giant club with all these manky spring break brats which was incredible. the actual venue was massive and had its own driveway and car park - i thought it was in a hotel but it turned out it was all club. it all got very extravagant with a silver painted futuristic feather headed aztec man dancing on a podium and doing some very cheesey mouthing along to some house music with a bunch of "sex, drugs, house music" type chanting but everyone was loving it. he had fire! i got worried. there was also a massive wall of windows overlooking the bay which was beautiful in the dark. they cascaded loads of fireworks down the side of the building too which was cool. we went back to the balcony at the hotel and had some beers while the sun came up then everyone proceeded to pass out so i went swimming in the sea. wonderful!

so, we had to come home via a 10 hour stopover in dallas so we went to a steakhouse then back to sleep in the hotel but it wasnt very comfy so noone really slept. i just got back to providence a few hours ago so am pretty shattered. i dont want to be home. this is bad news.
