"when i was on a very small island in south thailand, only one kilometer long, i discovered that there were no shalls there. so that, the so-called "naked crabs" had no houses. normally they would find small shells, use them as houses and carry them around. because they couldn't find shells, those hermit crabs would go into nivea containers. you know, they are pink and green and yellow for anti-solar-protection, and tourists would leave containers on the beach. whatever the tubes were, crabs would take these things and carry them on their shoulders as their houses. i found it so sad that three hours later, i took a boat to another, bigger island, where natives were selling shells to the tourists. i bought three kilos of small shells suitable from houses for the little crabs and went back to the small island by boat. all day i was trying to teach one particular crab to take off the nivea container from his back and put on a real shell, but every time he went back tot he nivea container and, you see...evolution. you see how far we've gone in changing nature."

this makes me very sad.
