Changing scenery

My attitude is on the up and up since I've started going into the city everyday for orientation. It's surreal to me - to spend a quiet 35 minutes on the commuter rail gazing out the window as we pass scenic marshy ocean inlets warehouses and dreary suburban neighborhoods, then to be pushed through North Station rushed underground into a subway car for another 15 minutes of electric metal screeching through the tunnels flourescent lit where everyone avoids eye contact while they focus on surfing the rail, to finally be spit out up onto the street into the middle of the theatre district with all of its pedestrian motion and traffic noise and my school's purple and gold banners above it all on the edge of the commons, is just thrilling to me.
