Abilities & Physical Abnormalities:
-Sylladex: basically hammerspace, Jade can "captchalogue" or store anything in this with her current Pictionary Modus, which requires her to draw items on captcha cards to store them. She also has several other Fetch Modi, otherwise known as schematics for storage and retrieval, that she can apply to the sylladex for fun and convenience!!
-Sharpshooter: Jade has been raised to handle guns, particularly rifles; her grandpa's death was the result of an unfortunate accident with her dual wielding flintlock pistols as a toddler.
-Iron Lass Suit: this is in Jade's sylladex, and is basically a knockoff Iron Man suit. Lets her fly, gives her super strength and defense, the works.
-Junior Compu-Soothe Spectagoggles: These allow Jade to view any event taking place anywhere in the world at the moment she uses them. Due to obvious godmode concerns, these will only be used with permission from necessary parties.
-Narcolepsy: this was the result of Vriska using Jade as a guinea pig to test her powers on humans, so she won't randomly fall asleep at the drop of a hat most likely (unless said troll decides to play around with it again); however, she has no real sleep cycle as a result of Vriska's meddling and will still fall asleep at odd times and places because of it.
Personality: Superficially Jade appears to be a lovable little airhead with a memory problem and an overenthusiastic smile for everyone she meets. She’s bubbly, cheerful, and optimistic, and often the one to tell her friends that things will be okay, no matter how bad the situation is. She can often appear to living with her head in the clouds because of this, and the fact that she sleeps all the time and has such a bad memory that she literally needs to put string on her fingers to keep things in mind doesn’t help that impression.

Under that, though, is a very deeply caring person. In fact she’s very aware of the sorrows of others and fully admits when a situation is fucked all to hell. She often understands what could happen better than anyone, actually, due to the prophecies she sees in Skaia's clouds on Prospit. But Jade has unshakeable faith that things will always get better and turn out for the best if people try their hardest. Even if everything goes wrong, to Jade, there’s still a chance that it can go right in the end. This is why, despite her airy excitable manner, she is also a very determined person prepared to sacrifice just about anything, even herself - she takes an entire moon to the face for her brother and best friend John without a second thought, and later uses the dead body left over from that as fodder for a sentient construct of the game they are playing. After all, if she’s not willing to try her hardest and make difficult sacrifices, then the chances of things being all right again in the end will disappear. She also tries to connect to and understand just about everyone she meets; it takes her years of relentless trolling from Karkat for her to get frustrated with the trolls, which she quickly gets over once she gets into SBURB and speaks with them more closely. Not only that, but she even begins talking to her own Denizen on a familiar basis - in video game terminology, that would be the next-to-last boss of the game for her.

Beyond that caring and determination, Jade is also very intelligent. The reason for her absentminded demeanor is more that her head is stuffed full of difficult-to-parse information than a lack of ability to concentrate. From a very early age, Jade has had to contend with two obstacles in her life - first of all, the death of her grandfather (resulting in a lack of human contact to teach her about life), and secondly, a gift of prophecy. Jade’s narcolepsy did in fact serve a very valuable purpose; it allowed her to visit her dream home on the planet Prospit, where she saw visions of the future in the clouds of Skaia that she could then plan for. Only visions, though. She had to piece together the information behind the visions on her own, learn to fend for herself and get in contact with the other people she would eventually come to know and befriend, and plan to get them through the end of the world safely. Even after she loses the advantage of Prospitian prophecies through her dreamself’s death, Jade continues to keep a level head and plan ahead - it’s hinted that her plans are integral to a lot of the crazy shit that happens, and she is the one who invents the password system to keep Trollian from making her time-disparate conversations with the trolls another thing to keep track of along with everything else she has to do at a breakneck pace.

Jade isn’t always level-headed, though. Particularly after her dreamself’s death she starts losing patience with people who won’t make themselves useful in a desperate situation - most hilariously seen in the case of Karkat, who receives the full brunt of her pent-up anger towards the trollings he’s heaped on her throughout her life and appears to not really know what to do about it. Even later on, when they become friends, she refuses to let him waste time with his normal rants, instead being extremely firm and bossy with him even as she is her normal cheery self to anyone else who talks to her. Not just Karkat, either - she doesn’t take bullshit from Tavros, one of the trolls she places on the “nicer” end of the spectrum, after finding that he is responsible for her childhood problems following her grandfather's death and in fact congratulates himself for "helping" her. On herself she's even harsher; when she prototypes the stuffed corpse of her dreamself and finds that this Jade is weepy, scared, and essentially useless, she flies into a furious rage in her frustration, slapping her sprite around and screaming at her in an effort to get through to her. When that doesn't work and Jadesprite flees, she says good riddance and that she doesn't care if the sprite won't make herself useful. Just because Jade defaults to cheerful and friendly doesn’t mean she’ll passively allow people to walk all over her; after all, she did orchestrate a lot of the events leading up to the basic Homestuck storyline, and that side of her shows more and more as time goes on.

Basically, Jade is an intelligent and determined girl who also happens to be a total airhead and delight in silly things like a kids’ show about ocean creatures. She’s just cool like that!

What are your plans for the character in-game?
Jade hasn't ever really had a formal school experience, so it'll be interesting for her! So will face to face interaction on a daily basis with other people, for that matter. It'll also be different for Jade to live her life not driven by surviving the end of the world!

Anything else?

Complete TWO out of the FOUR options.
i) IC Questionnaire
What do you prefer to be known as?
Oh, just Jade is fine.
How old are you?
I'm 13!

Do you have any history in combat?
Yep! Grandpa raised me with guns, and I had to fight a lot in SBURB, and so on.
If so, have you ever killed?
Well, umm...not people. But animals and imps and stuff, yeah!

i) How do you feel when you get involved in some project that calls for immediate and rapid activity?
Well, I get going, of course! I can't just sit around and do nothing.

ii) Do you organize and initiate leisure activities?
Weeeeell, umm...I haven't really met people face to face much before today, or at all really, so I haven't gotten much chance for it.

iii) What role do you take when working in a group?
I guess whatever I can do best! Or just whatever I can do, really.

iv) How talkative are you around other people?
Oh I looooove talking to people! I never really got to at home except online but we Skyped sometimes and stuff and that was always fun!

v) What three things would you want to have with you on a desert island? State your reasoning.
What, like you mean the one I grew up on? Well, ummm, if my friends all together count as one thing, then I'd want them and Bec and my rifle too, because Bec is my guardian and best friend and a very good dog and my grandpa taught me never to leave the house without a rifle. But if they count as separate things, then I'd definitely want Rose, John and Dave. They're my best friends and the most important things in my life, so of course I'd want to stay with them!

vi) Is it important to be liked by a wide range of people?
Gosh, I guess so? But I haven't really met that many people, I'm just happy as long as I've got my friends, really.

vii) When the odds are against you, is it worth taking a chance?
Oh, definitely!! The odds are pretty much always against you, you know, but you still have to do your best! Sitting there letting things happen isn't a very fun way to live.

viii) Do you consider yourself to be an impulsive person?
Maybe? I guess? I can plan ahead or work with a situation. But yeah, I guess I sort of charge into things sometimes. At some point you really have to trust yourself and go with what feels right!

ix) Would you agree that planning things ahead takes the fun out of life?
In some situations, yeah! Like spoiling yourself for the end of a movie or something. But it's still good to plan ahead in other cases too!

x) Do you like surprises?
Oh, yes, I looooove surprises! They're fun.

xi) Do you sometimes wonder if there is something wrong with you?
No. Should I?

xii) Do you consider yourself to be smarter than your superiors, and disagree with their decisions?
Well, I guess I disagree with Grandpa and Bec a lot, but I know they're just trying to look out for me! I don't think it's really about who's smarter than who.

xiii) Lastly, how do you feel about cabbages?
They are lovely happy plants! I wish I'd brought some from my greenhouse.

ii) Prose sample
It's mail day, and that means another air drop of this month's asked-for items onto the island, along with any letters John, Rose or Dave might have sent. Jade is pretty eager! This is always a fun day. So she carefully oils and loads her rifle, just like Grandpa taught her when she was a little rifle-wielding baby, and sets out only to find that Bec has beaten her to the drop site. Bec always beats her to it. It is just how he rolls. But now that he's there, he won't let her by for anything, and in fact uses his teleportation powers to cheat her out of sneaking by should she attempt it.

This means there is only one thing to be done. For honor. For glory. For the mail.

>Jade: Strife.

Are you seriously asking a young child to shoot at her dog, her best friend, her single companion in a lifetime of isolation and the only active guardian she's ever known, over a simple parcel? You sick fuck. People like you destroy families, and you should feel a deep, overwhelming and unending shame for being such a completely and utterly terrible failure as a human being.

Just kidding! Bec loves to play "Cross-Dimension Distort the Bullet." In fact it is his favorite game! Sometimes he plays it even when there is no item of Jade's for him to defend around, because it is just that fun.

You didn't really think a mere rifle could hurt an omnipotent spacetime-bending catdog hellbeast, did you?

Jade takes careful aim, fires, and this month's round of The Ultimate Game Of Fetch begins. Bec is the best dog! They have so much fun together.
