I wake up and LJ is finally up and running like a good little website should be. The day when I actually have things to post about, the gods of the electrical universe decide that they'll pull the power plug just to mess with us. Grr. Oh well, glad it's all fine and dandy again.
So yesterday the Federal Minimum Wage was raised...well, everywhere besides in Kansas. Our minimum wage is still $2.65 an hour.
Yes, you heard me right.
Granted, I don't know anyone who actually makes only $2.65 an hour, but I know there are people out there who earn that and have to live on it. I cannot even begin to imagine.
Of course, then there are immigrants working fields making only $1.00 a day or something like that.
The Kansas Action Network is outraged over the state's continuation of their minimum wage standards and are stepping up their game plan to get it raised to at least the federal level.
On a political note, Hillary and Obama are feuding over things that were said during the CNN Youtube debate. Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids. Things are starting to get a bit ugly, I can't just can't wait for all the mudslinging next year. [rolls eyes]

I don't think I have enough words in my vocabulary to express how freaking excited I am about this! Chris is looking all like NSA!2000-era, isn't he? Atleast in the promo shot on the main page he is.
