Taking various suggestions under advisement.
I have discovered a sneaky way to cleanly convert the result to a PDF document, which I will probably use when emailing unless otherwise advised. This allows me to maintain my formatting without Word doing weird things to the result at the other end.
Now I just have to get it to the point where it's worth emailing.
Today I took pleasure in oatmeal for breakfast.
Today I learned I still have some formatting tweaks to do on the resume that I didn't catch until I saw the PDF version.
