Due to my busted superdrive on my Macbook that renders it impossible to burn CDs, I ordered a FM transmitter/charger for my iPhone a few days ago and it arrived yesterday! It works far better than my old one and I only get a little static. It'll have to do until I have a car that successfully integrates with iPods and iPhones (like the Sync system on Fords or my friend's mom's sweet Mercedes) or has an aux jack. I like it though-it has a dock and the way my cig lighter is positioned, it brings my iPhone right up to eye level so I don't have to look down and it only takes one finger to pick a song or make a call. And now I can hear your lovely voices through my car stereo :)
I took it for a test run yesterday on the 30 minute drive to Target (in preparation for the epic weekend to LA to visit Wyman and Alicia) and oh my, is it liberating! No more rummaging for CDs while driving, no more annoyances at having forgotten to burn a certain album-everything I want is at my disposal.
Including Regina Spektor, whom I loved my freshman year but haven't really listened to since. It was some kind of perfect, going 80 on the 101 listening to such relaxing piano. I'd heard of her new album that came out in June but otherwise hadn't really thought about her much, but for some reason it just popped into my head and I put it on.
In other news, life lately has been lovely and I'm finally getting back into the swing of things. It helps that my roommates are wonderful and nice and like to hang out and just chill. I spend more time out in the living room now, with a cold beer and lots of laughter, than I ever have before.
Also I got sweet decor for my room from Pier 1! It's finally starting to feel like home.
