Travis is convinced that writing in a journal proves that one's life is not satisfactory. Now maybe he's using the word incorrectly or perhaps I've misunderstood the definition, but I'm under the impression that satisfaction is a complacency for desire. And in understanding that meaning, it's my conclusion that you do not use journal writing to compensate for lack of satisfaction in your life. However shitty or beautiful your life is, if you write in a journal, you do it. No matter what kind of stress or otherwise is available for comment.
