Although this community is, by its very nature, pro-woman, it should not be considered "feminist" in the most political of senses.

Why not?

I'm unsure what the author means by "the most political of senses" and to me, it sounds like we're trying to say that we're feminists in the sense that we're for equality, but we can't talk about all of that stuff that we need for equality.

This comment bothers me, because it seems to me a major issue at a lot of women's colleges, including mine. We don't want people to think we're a bunch of feminists or lesbians, and so we spend so much time distancing ourselves from these two categories that we isolate the people who are queer and/or feminists.

This community is pro-women, and therefore I think it's feministic. I understand the maintainers request that we not discuss political issues, but it severely bothers me that this community is skirting away from the f-word.
