Simmons College
I just got my acceptance letter from Simmons College today. I'm pretty excited, because it was my second choice :) But I have a few questions I was wondering if any of you could answer. I'm reading the entries that I found through the tags, but any help would be appreciated.
1. I applied as a nursing major. I know that, at some schools, they will admit you under general admission (not sure of the correct term), and then you'll go into the nursing program your second year. They didn't say if this was the case in my letter; they only said congratulations, you've been admitted to the class of 2012, etc. Will I start the nursing program my first year or my second?
2. Once I send in my tuition and housing deposits, will I be able to register for classes online? I live about 6 hours away from Boston, so going there in person would be pretty difficult.
3. Are there any meal plans? How do they work? They didn't mention any of that on the sheet that lists the different fees.
4. What kind of dining options are available on-campus?
5. How does room/roommate selection work? I've been looking around on the Simmons website, but haven't found much information for new students. Do I get one of those forms where I put down my interests and preferences, and they pair me with a roommate?
6. Any other information you could give about student/campus life, the programs (particularly nursing), tips for new students, etc would be awesome :)
