Anne Rice's latest

So I finally settle down to read Christ the Lord out of Egypt by Anne Rice and I love it. She'd stopped writing the witches and vampires books to focus on something more spiritual. I admit I was a bit skeptical, but I was wrong! I'm not finished yet, but it's beautifully written (how could an Anne book not be?). I'm really enjoying reading the story. I grew up in a church, but of course, they don't teach any kind of childhood for Jesus. So I'm finding her interpretation so interesting. I'm sure she researched it to the letter, she just seems to be the type. Anyone else read it?
