Friend of mine found this and put it up on FB today. Thought I'd share, it's neat, and an eye-opener. I remember getting to a high level in Guild Wars 2 and ending up in this ridiculously skimpy armor, skin showing everywhere. I updated that to full body scale armor as fast as possible, so much more bad-ass. A great thing about that game is you

I know I'm just foaming at the mouth about things that have been said before, but here it is anyway:
Personally, I think it's okay for men to have their fantasies about the female form. But is it so hard to come to grips with the fact that a woman can dress both sexy and practical at the same time? Seeing female characters in metal battle bikinis rides the back of my neck, especially when their male counterparts have enough metal on to spare a few plates. As a woman, I don't just feel disrespected by these scenarios; I also feel downright ignored as a potential source of recurring income for the companies that choose to keep representing my gender in this fashion.
It's one thing if hyper-sexualization truly fits the character--and there are definitely some characters out there who fit that role. It's another thing entirely when you're trying to tell me that my character is a positive figure in whatever universe she comes from, but at the same time she can't be arsed to put on a full pair of underwear on her way out to champion the causes you've laid out for her. I'm not saying that all female characters have to be in full body suits, but come on. Have some taste.

Third picture down? That's the Queen. Next picture shows members of the Order of Whispers, big group in the game. Just look at the chick out front. What the hell is she even wearing there? The guy standing next to her is wearing armor, but cleavage=authority, so I guess she can't cover up. A couple women like this I could buy, but seriously, it's all over.
