So, I've been playing Runescape for about a decade, with occasional breaks when I get frustrated. I'm in one of those breaks at the moment, and fear it may be permanent; the new management appears to be bound and determined to turn it into WOWscape, and I figure that if I wanted to play WOW, I'd play WOW, not some ill thought out imitation. I'll have to think on this. It almost sounds like FallOut 3 New Vegas might be your style except there's no PVP. There's more to the quests than "Go here - Punch that guy".
In fact right now in game I'm standing in front of 3 men who are eating breakfast.
1st (middle) is the leader of the Great Khans.
2nd (left) is the guy who would take over the Great Khans and possibly join me and the NCR in taking down Caesar's Legion
3rd on the right is the rep from Caesar's Legion wanting to broker an alliance with the great Khans. Caesar's Legion is misogynistic slavers.
They're against the NCR. But the Khans have a valid gripe against the NCR who (on a confusion on military orders) killed an awful lot of their women, children and elderly.
I gotta play this right.
Skills involve making survival medicines, weapon repair kits, food, well heck a lot of things that I'm just getting around it.
It is an FPS. But damn it is fun and very involving.
If you have Steam - you can shell out $50 and get the Bethesda pack which contains all of Fallout 3 New Vegas, all the downloads, Skyrim and few other things.
But you can't look away like you were mentioning.
