Random question about an older game.
For only the second time ever since buying the game, I'm at a point in Final Fantasy 8 where I have different dialogue than usual. It's during the first flashback with Laguna and co. The conversation had Laguna asking the guys if they wanted to go get a drink. "Yeah, like you drink." "Yeah, go drink some juice like a weenie, and then gawk at the piano lady." "DON'T CALL HER THE PIANO LADY!"
I'm wondering if anybody knows how to trigger this? Or is it just a random thing? Usually it's a different conversation here.
I also just had the scene in the hotel room change. Usually it cuts to black, and then comes back with Laguna commenting that he's talking too much again. This time, though, it cut to black and came back with Laguna on the bed, and Julia apologizing because she didn't realize wine made Laguna sleepy. "You look adorable when you're asleep." I'm not sure what I did this time that triggered those scenes that I don't normally do. All I can think of is that I used the lamp and got Diablos right away, but I'm pretty sure I've done that in the past without it triggering the alternate flashback scenes. Anybody happen to know what I did? Or is it all just randomly selected?
