Xbox Live 'Hackings'
I was 'hacked' a while ago on my Xbox, you can read my full story here if you care to.
Since then my inbox has exploded with 400+ emails from other gamers who have been hacked. All the stories are along the same lines; money has been stolen, accounts have been migrated etc. I am slowly uploading each story to my site, feel free to browse and be appalled with what's really going on.
Anyway, I came across one story today though that really blew my mind.
A hacker taunted their victim on CoD:BO before hacking their account and then sending a SWAT team to their address! Yes - Sending a SWAT team. To. Their. House.
You can read the whole thing here. It's bloody insane and makes me happy I only had a few hundred dollars stolen from me than having guys with guns turn up on my doorstep. Anything could've gone wrong in that scenario..
What do you guys think can be done to make our Xbox accounts safer? Has something similar ever happened to you? Just how far did your jaw drop when reading what happened to that poor kid?
