The best thing about LJ is the way you can stalk people you have only a vague connection to, it definitely appeals to my voyeuristic senses. My latest thing has been reading the LJs of kids still at Ruse. This one is a Year 12, who is actually doing 4 Unit English, in case you couldn't tell from his style of writing:
...now aloai is peeved and does her fake crying thing and runs into the commons (in a poor attempt at guilt tripping) one of her friends comes out and pretends to be fully serious saying "omg u gotta go appologise aolais balling her eyes out" so i go into the commons, and the group follow. and i see the yr 11's huddled in a small circle all pretending to be concerned, a few cant contain their smiles those noobs. so anway i notice that yasi is there as well so being the tactful superhero that i am i say "aolai im sorry ur friends a giant theres nothing i can do about it." NOTE: AT this point everyone was happy, the yr11's were blissfully ignorant as to who i was talking about, aolai was suprised that i wasnt fooled and i took my leave" as i walk over to the door, fung (the fat idiot as he will now be known) goes over and sits next to aolai and yasi, like in the middle. he says "aolai are u ok?" (totally fooled by her act) then one of the yr 11's goes hey fung waht was that about? refering to me. then fung says
Isn't that just thrilling? This reinforces my belief that a lot of the high achievers at Ruse are fantastic studiers and have amazing memories, but very little intelligence. Of course there are some geniuses too, but not as many as the marks would imply.
Moving out soon with Geoff, we've been watching a lot of Scrubs to prepare ourselves for what living with friends will be like. And the answer is...totally awesome, with absolutely no downsides that I care to think about. I'm practising for "finger or toe", a game where one person closes their eyes and the other waves either a finger or toe under their nose, and the blind person has to guess which it was. Moving out will be great, but unfortunately will put a dent in my impressive savings. I may also have to reconsider going to England/United States at the end of this year as well. Probably not though, I want to go overseas again this year. Whether it's England or the States depends on how many English mates I can line up to stay with, and how the football season is progressing. My problem with the US is that there are too many places I want to go and see, I can't narrow it down. Any suggestions?
