We just bought some books, even though we shouldn't have. But these were must haves. I now have all three of the U.S. available Martin Millar books with the purchase of Lonely Werewolf Girl. Hopefully it will be as good as the other books. I still don't feel like I have a good feel for what to expect from him, since Suzy, Led Zeppelin, and Me felt more like a memoir than fiction. Brandi allowed me that purchase because she found the new Suzanne Collins book,The Hunger Games. I will say that if that book is as good as even one of the Gregor the Underlander books, then it is worth the sales price. I have avoided reading any of it because I know it will suck me deep into it's grasp. And to add the brownie to the bagel, I found a copy of Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Suzanna Clarke. My good friend akjunkan has recommended it to me a few times as one of her favorites, so I figured seven dollars was a good investment, if only to be able to study something that a person I admire finds important. I will post my thoughts on these books as I finish them, but school is keeping my reading abilities down. I'm also suffering from pre-election jitters, and I'm very close to losing my mind. I'm currently working on the book Gardens of Stone by Nicholas Proffitt. This is a book that my dad has told me I should read since I started reading, and I've owned a copy for almost 10 years without opening it.
Peace!
