death in the afternoon (not about bullfighting)

Because honestly, that book sucked.

I got up, showered, dressed and in other ways got ready for Mass but never actually got out the door since I was distracted by internet spaceships. Lame, I know.

Still, I went down to the ass-end of Delve for the big fight against various enemies of the Swarm with a tackling Drake, and managed to get on the right side of some kill mails without being the subject of any. Kind of funny - I warped in about fifty KM from a whole pile of enemy battleships and started locking them up; once I had them locked I hit them with a warp disruptor and nailed them down so our battleships could trash them. Which they did. It was hilarious, nobody in the enemy fleet paid the slightest attention to me except for a couple of inept stealth bombers. In the end despite being on the wrong end of 3:1 odds (maybe worse) we killed 50 of their ships and half the resulting pods while only losing 8 of our own. Ten of those kills were stealth bombers who kept hilariously uncloaking each other by accident, after which they were promptly tackled & killed; we didn't lose any of ours. We also had a 21:1 kill ratio in battleships, which is pretty damn awesome; most of our losses were frigates and pods.

There had been other lopsided skirmishes in the battle before I got there; by the end of the day we'd killed 189 enemy ships and only lost 25 of our own. Plus, we held the system and were able to go around shooting up their POS so as to avoid losing sovereignty. A very good day. Glad I was able to be part of it, especially after getting blue balled earlier in the week.

Spent the evening setting up one of our POS, which was kind of boring and repetitive, but that's logistics for you.
