Well, that was depressing.
Went down to the neighborhood bar to watch Game 4 of the World Series, which was pretty exciting but ended badly when Phillies closer Brad Lidge coughed up three runs in the top of the ninth. This broke a 4-4 tie, and then Mariano Rivera came in to close in the bottom of the ninth, and that was all she wrote. Phillies are now down three games to one after losing two straight in their home park. Cliff Lee starts tomorrow for the Phillies, against AJ Burnett on three days' rest for the hated Yankees. I find it hard to be optimistic.
